Interaction Devices
Thebestindonesia.com – UI (User Interface) is the visual part of a website, application, software, or hardware that determines how a user interacts with the product. User interface design combines the concepts of graphic design, interaction design, and information infrastructure into one to increase the ease of use of a product.
After knowing the meaning of the user interface, let’s now discuss what it does. The UI design of a product has a vital role in determining the quality of the product in the eyes of its users. A good interface design must make a program more comfortable when used by the user. Conversely, a cluttered and unorganized UI display will reduce the product’s value in the user’s eyes.
This article will briefly discuss some of the interactive tools needed to support the operationalization of graphical interface techniques. These devices include input/output devices, which consist of:
- Textual input device.
- Pointing and taking devices.
- Device display screen.
An interactive Device is a device or equipment that can be used actively to achieve a specific goal.
Input-Output devices consist of 3 groups:
Textual input device
It is a standard input device in a computer. It is called = Keyboard.
Negotiator and taker device
A device points or places the cursor on the display screen to pick up a particular item—examples: mouse, joystick, high spring, and others.

Display Screen
The device is used to view the desired information results. It consists of 3 components:
a. Digital reminder (frame Buffer).
The image on the screen is stored as a matrix whose element values indicate the intensity of the graphical data to be displayed.
b. Viewer screen.
Where information/data is displayed.
c. Display controller (Display Controller)
Function: Skip digital reminder contents and process them to be displayed on the display screen
Display Screen Types :
Direct-drive Monochrome Monitor
- feature screen foreground color (Foreground) and background color (background).
- using adapters of the MDA and EGA types.
Composite Monochrome Monitor
- using a resolution CGA type adapter and not many displays.
- has a foreground color.

Composite Color Monitors
- produce colored text and graphics (color).
- Has a wrong resolution, resulting in a picture that is not good.
- Using an adapter of the CGA type.
Red-green-Blue Monitor
- Known as RGB monitors (RGB = Red-Green-Blue).
- RGB is preferable to composite color monitors because these displays process the red, green, and blue signals separately.
- Smoother text and graphics output.
Variable-Frequency Monitor
- Adapter adapted to the display screen.
