By combining the 1.0 liter turbo engine with the D-CVT, used in a Toyota vehicle for the first time, the car achieves the torque and driving pleasure of a 1.5 liter engine and outstanding fuel efficiency. The D-CVT adds a separate gear to the existing CVT belt drive and uses the belt and gear drive at high speeds to increase transmission efficiency. The gear ratio range has also been widened to provide robust, smooth acceleration at low speeds and fuel-efficient and quiet performance at high rates. Raize has the latest Smart to Assist safety features, including Crash Avoidance Braking Function, which can detect vehicles and pedestrians, and an Erroneous Start Prevention Function with braking control (forward and reverse).
